Wooden roller coaster at Parque Warner Madrid: Coaster-Express: the tallest and longest wooden roller coaster in Europe.
Every theme park of high standing has a wooden roller coaster, a classic in these types of machines. Coaster-Express, at Warner Park, is the tallest and longest wooden roller coaster in Europe, and has a length of 1.250 metres.
Valleys and canyons form the desert-like route of the Coaster-Express, the traditional roller coaster that we can find at the Warner Park Madrid. Located in Old West Territory, its impressive skyline makes it a superb ride, you can see it from practically any corner of the park, it's an authentic icon!
In its downwards drop, from 45 metres high, the Coaster-Express is one of the fastest wooden roller coasters: to such an extent that it reaches 95 km/h at top speed. It then glides through the western territory of the park, in a journey that will leave you out of breath, which is particularly recommended for nostalgic visitors and fans of old, classic rides. The journey ends with a sudden and surprising halt. Be brave and climb aboard the fastest train in the West. As the song says, “the West is the best”, so don't miss out on passing through this part of the park and experiencing it for yourself.
Its two large helix of 590º and 520º, as well as the 100,000 screws that join together the wooden tracks, make it an irresistible machine. Taking a ride on this roller coaster is without a doubt a fantastic experience for the whole family. And also for the youngest and most daring of visitors, it isn't in vain that this is one of the most visited rides at Warner Park. Up to 1,200 people can go on the ride every hour.
Did you know...?
Up to 270.000 cubic metres of wood were needed in order to build the ride. It is a design of the company RCCA (Roller Coaster Corporation of America), which was initially christened with the name Wild Wild West, in honour of the Warner Bros. film on which it is based.
